right around july this year, my blog really took a turning point. i have fine-tuned what it is i want this blog to represent. i have collected some dedicated readers, and i’ve also created a dedicated set of specific blogs i post each corresponding day of the week. it feels nice to have some structure.
if i had time, i’d post 7-days a week. and hopefully very soon i will be able to do that. my “day job” is going great, and my foto job is starting to take a turn as well, for the better. i am digging all the positive change happening in my life lately. i’m so beyond grateful…
and since march when i began this blog – i’ve created a cool 127 posts, stacked up over 250 followers, and graciously received over 1,000 likes.
so… THANKS! 🙂
i appreciate you.
and you know what else i appreciate?
– all 6 of my senses
– fresh, clean air
– a comfortable bed to sleep in
– HEALTHY FOOD – every single day. i’m so thankful for good food!!!!!!
– my cats
– a great roommate
– a handful of really really amazing and wonderful souls whom i get to share this journey called life with…
the other night i was randomly in the “mood” to meditate… and i put on some piano music i love and i got really really into it. i had incense burning, which i find actually helps my spirit… it was mostly just an outpouring of gratitude. once i started being thankful for little things – like my health… which ain’t so little, but when is the last time you actually audibly said “THANK YOU FOR MY HEALTH!!” – ?!?!?
try it sometime… then see what happens.
for me, i started crying and i couldn’t stop saying things i was thankful – including a distinguished palate… i appreciate that i can appreciate good food. i mean, really. and then i started being thankful for my senses, and for a sound mind, and for good judgement, and a kind heart… and then i couldn’t stop.
just try it. when you wake up, just say out loud at least 3 things you are thankful for. try to switch it up each day, and give at least 3 more each time…
it’s a simple thing that is vastly effecting my life for the better 🙂
