another {vegan} Qrunch burger meal

10 Jun

i am quickly becoming addicted to these tasty delights.  Qrunch burgers are yummy quinoa patties and are great source of complete proteins without any dairy, soy, gluten, or wheat and they are vegan. frozen, but previously cooked, delicious qrunch burger patties are a marvelous and easy way to get whole grains into your diet — and seriously, they taste SO GOOD!

they are also super easy to make!

here’s what i made with mine.

– avocado

– san marzano tomatoes

– parano cheese {any gouda would be great}

– vidalia onion

– multigrain sandwich flats

i usually take my qrunch burgers out of the frozen package and let them sit in the pan to thaw a tad before i begin heating them up… just to avoid burning the outside.

heat on low-medium heat and flip once or twice.  i like mine a tad crispy so i finished them like this.

i mixed the tomato and avocado together to form a smear and topped that with vidalias on one side and topped the qrunch burger with parano cheese on the other.

make sure your sandwich flats are toasted 🙂

smash it together

serve along side freshly cooked organic corn on the cob and an ice-cold glass of limeade.  i had this for my non-traditional memorial day dinner with watermelon and cantelope for dessert 🙂

    Hi Audrey! What a funny coincidence that I found you when I google searched qrunch burgers. You gave me a “sample” of qrunch burgers at WF Wednesday and I wanted to let you know I loved them! I was at the store this morning and looked for you so I could let you know how great they are, but didn’t see you. Glad to have the opportunity to let you know through your blog. Next time i’m at WF i will look for you again.
