sometimes i like to have 2 breakfasts…

9 Jun

…or – one breakfast, and one brunch… 🙂

especially if it’s a weekend day and i don’t have to work.  i get up pretty early most days and i love having my cup of coffee as the sun beams in and i work on both blog images and my appetite.  typically i want a snack about an hour later and so this has become one of my favourite quick meals in the morning : i call it the BACH  {banana, almond, chia, honey} a friend helped inspire this — thanks michele!

~start with toasted multigrain sandwich flats…

~smear with almond butter…

~drizzle on some local honey…

~sprinkle in a little chia seed…

~top with fresh bananas…

~serve alongside the best OJ ever…

then… take a nap.

then… wake up and make brunch 🙂

chia and millet waffles, organic black forest bacon, soft-scrambled pasture-raised local eggs with creamy brie

aaaannnnd…

heaps of fresh organic figs, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, red grapes, and a side of juicy baby watermelon…

and of course, a mimosa.

then… take another nap 🙂

enjoy the weekend, everyone!

Yum! I love love love breakfasts like that. Your pictures are beautiful too! I usually solve my “I want two breakfasts” problem by going half sweet (pancakes, oatmeal, French toast, granola, etc) and half savory (scrambled eggs or tofu, tempeh bacon, etc). I love your solution though! 😉
