{things i’m loving right now – bath sand}

12 Apr

bathsand-1

this was a christmas gift from my awesome landlord/neighbour and i’ve been super enjoying it during this winter and spring longest season ever.

bathsand-2

it’s been so relentlessly cold here… dark, cold, snowy, damp… did i mention cold?

nothing warms my bones like a hot salt bath.  we all know how much i luuuurrve himalayan pink salt, and i do sometimes throw it in my warm bath water. but since i have had these wonderful {hand-made} bath sand satchels, i have been using them to soak in lots of healing from the powerful dead sea salts and essential oils these adorable packages are filled with.

bathsand-3

i just love salt; it has amazing healing properties in so many ways.

sometimes nothing will comfort me like a hot salt bath. to detox the skin, the body, the pores, the aches and pains… and what i love about these great little packages is how my skin feels when i leave the water… so super soft and smooth, and smelly-good, too! 😉 ❤

{thirsty thursday – harmless harvest coconut water}

12 Dec

i heart coconut water… and not just after a good workout or to help cure a hangover {yep, it’s good for that!} although, coconut water will replenish you better than 10 gatorades {i don’t drink that stuff, but it’s fun to exaggerate sometimes} or a gallon of water alone.  seriously this stuff is amazing!  it’s almost identical to human plasma, and is extremely high in potassium and antioxidants.

there are lots of different coconut water brands out there… and many of them are good.

this one is THE BEST.

harmlessharvest-1

i mean, really… it’s THE best coconut water on the planet.  harmless harvest coconut water has figured out the best formula {and philosophy}… and can you just guess what it is?!  KEEP IT SIMPLE 🙂 i dig these guys and their minimalist approach to things.

it’s like sticking a straw straight into a coconut that has been gathered in southeast asia. Continue reading

product endorsement #3 – whirley pop

26 Jun

whirley pop.

do you remember this?  i actually don’t.  but apparently it’s old school cool and marvelously classic.  i’ve loved having it and we now make more popcorn in the house than anything, i swear. low fat, low carb, whole grain, and if you buy it in bulk you save tons and it’s a snack with variety that everyone will love!

the whirley pop itself is so easy to use. you can make your popcorn with any good quality high heat oil and it doesn’t take more than 5 minutes to pop a large bowl to share.  fun for kids, too — just make sure they are always supervised!

my roomie and i love to drizzle a little coconut oil over ours and then smother it with tons of nutritional yeast.  it makes for an almost cheesy flavour.  it’s SO GOOD!  i know you’ll love it too – so try it! and go get a whirley pop!  20 bucks is a good investment for a 25-year warranty, right?!

one more thing i want to add — sort of a shameless plug here — please consider always and only buying organic NON-GMO corn.  if you aren’t sure why, please read one of my rants about GMOs… and do your own research, then decide for yourself.

thank you always, for reading 🙂

product endorsement # 2 – super greens

28 Apr

organic girl super greens.

i mean, greens are good – and you know this, man.  🙂  i like these because it’s a good variety of greens {chard, arugula, and others}, it’s organic, you can eat them raw or saute them, and for $6.99 a container, you can eat a salad with every meal for a week!  think about that.   Continue reading
