i love specialty foods, in case you haven’t yet discovered that about me…
and i happen to LOVE salt – in all its varieties.
so when a friend brought me this adorable jar of salt back from her trip to france, i was totally excited!!
when i said to her, “ohhh i’m so excited to blog about this fancy french salt…” she was like, “wellllll – it’s just salt. the only thing fancy about it is that i carried it all the way back home in my backpack… just for you.”
i fancy that, i say.
so i had an avocado with some of my not-so-fancy-french-backpack-salt. 😉
i’m certain i’ve said this before, but i take a lot of pride in picking out a perfect avocado… this has come from many years of practice…
i like that the french salt was more like rock salt; very large granules…
and i beg to differ with my friend – i believe this salt tastes better than any regular ol’ salt i’ve had here in the states – save for himalayan pink salt… seriously is there anything greater than that stuff?! sheesh, it’s amazing.
and so was this!!! 🙂
I love salts! William Sonoma has some of the best salts- smoked chardonnay finishing salt is my favorite!
