i’m talking about THE woodstock… former-music festival host and so much more. and yes, the town is exactly how you picture it… and i have some fotos to prove it.
🙂
i’m *pretty sure* this is the lawn where the famous woodstock music festival was held…
characters…
a local paper…
hippies…
really friendly hippies. who “have been doing this every day since the war began” — i visited woodstock back in 2009. wish i would’ve written down their names… nice people.
random cool LARGE art…
i like this one a lot – can you see me?!
different angle – i love all the lines in this foto.
and, of course – the woodstock gift shop. it’s apparently kind of famous – a definite destination spot for visitors and locals alike.
complete with hanging huge peace sign blanket…
these cats…
a huge bob marley display…
janis, bob, the blues bros, and jimi and john were among the residents…
woodstock legends is a total must-visit. albeit utterly freezing this time of year – so wear layers and the warmest coat you have!
happy travels!
way-out!

Nice photos of Woodstock! I was just there this past Sunday, as I frequent their flea market. Perfect weather, always great deals, and good eats, too. Just a note: the famous field where the 1969 concert was held is actually in Bethel, NY (it used to be a farm),. They now have a venue there called Bethel Woods Center for the arts, where they hold many concerts. If you are there again soon, visit the museum on the history of the Woodstock concert….good stuff!!!
PS- your food looks so good, I wish I could morph it to my home, lol! 🙂

I only know woodstock because I am interested in music of rolling stones, jimi hendrix, jefferson airplane.. a lot of music from that time. I also know it from tv and know about the peace movement at that time. It´s good to see some photos here from winter woodstock. 🙂
